“What follows is an attempt to analyse the MDC’s progress as a political party despite the huge political challenges it has had to face from the governing ZANU-PF party, which has made concerted efforts, legal and illegal, to undermine support for the MDC. This short analysis is carried out in the hope that it may clarify the party’s ideology, its composition and its future
challenges. The author hopes it will also suggest what role the MDC can play in resolving the multifaceted crisis that Zimbabwe must, as a matter of urgency, overcome.”
