The Bush presidency and South Africa: Congress and the sanctions outlook

The report has as its main theme the sanctions that have been used as a tool to change political situations. Attention is given to sanctions under President Reagan and continues to describe sanctions under the regime of President Bush. The author details the strengths and weaknesses of the parties engaged in formulating US policy towards South Africa and continue then to predict the policy towards South Africa that will be formed under the Bush regime.
