Tackling Antimalarial Drug Resistance in Kenya

“Malaria, a leading cause of death in Kenya, constitutes nearly half of all outpatient hospital visits and kills more children than any other disease in the East African country. Efforts to roll back the impact of malaria are being stymied by a growing
presence of drug-resistant strands of the disease. Combination therapies bolstered by effective single-dose medication are essential in the fight against malaria in Kenya.”
