South Sudan: A Framework for International Cooperation

This article discusses the way in which regional and international action can end the current crisis in South Sudan. It further states that a partnership is needed between the government and the international community to strengthen collective capacity and ability to bring a speedy end to the suffering of the people and the devastation of the country. Furthermore, it is concluded that professional and accountable armies and police forces are needed to ensure the safety and fundamental rights of all ethnic groups.
