This Policy and Practice Brief examines the trend of burgeoning xenophobia in South Africa and suggests what could be done to contribute to its eradication. These recommendations are not exhaustive but are initial steps through which the nation can begin to forge ahead and deal with the challenges of foreigners and their protection. Stresses that creative policies and dialogue that recognise and accept
migration as a continued phenomenon are needed within southern Africa.
