This report discusses the Iranian situation and the presidential elections that took place in 2005. The newly elected president is known for his conservatist approach and will focus on the economic issues for Iran and the challenge of how to deal with the US and their opposition to Iran’s nuclear programme. This paper also discusses the foreign relations between Iran and South Africa.
