Interdependence – Southern Africa

Interdependence includes the virtues of dependence that something can be obtained from others without the negative impact of relying on others and the virtues of independence in the sense that one can feel free but admitting that there are advantages to be gained from being neighbours. Interdependence in this context is therefore not meant to be political but economical interdependence in the Southern African region. The statement is made that Africa can only survive if the fact is accepted that benefits can be gained from the creation of wealth through free enterprise without sacrificing political independence.
