“The main objective of this paper is to present the literature review on the effects of macroeconomic policies on health and health inequality. The literature on this subject addresses the relevant issues in terms of macroeconomic policies developed within the context of structural adjustment or stabilization programs in developing countries. Specifically, the objective of the
paper is to: analyse the relationship between macroeconomic policies and health outcomes, to analyze the claim that stabilization and structural adjustment programs have adverse impacts on health outcomes. To present country case studies on the effects of structural adjustment programs on health.”
