Domestic Debt Management in Africa: The Case of Kenya

“The report analyses the linkages between domestic debt and economic development with regards to the use of domestic debt in the economy. It unpacks the legal framework and institutional structure for domestic debt contraction. It also provides an assessment of the nature of the relationships between different policy instruments for domestic debt acquisition and the role of different stakeholders in domestic debt management such as parliament, civil society and international financial institutions. Actionable policy recommendations to improving aspects of domestic debt management conclude the report.”
