This paper describes the transitional phase of The Democratic Republic of the Congo from war torn country to democracy with Kabila as the leader of the people. However Kabila was blamed for a number of atrocities and the Western powers turned against him. The Western countries should support Kabila in the reconstruction of the Congo instead of critising and opposing him.
