Biennial Report of the National Chairman 1992

This report consists of two parts, South Africa’s International Position and the Development of the Institute. In the first part South Africa’s position in the global context is described and the changes that has taken place in the previous two years are highlighted. Since then South Africa has increased its number of diplomatic, consular and trade missions to countries in Africa but also globally. The second half gives an overview of SAIIA’s development and programs. The Annexure covers the activities of the Institute since March 1990. It looks at membership, branches, services to corporate members, conference programme, international exchange, research programme, public information; Jan Smuts house Library, staff, co-operation and acknowledgements.
