ARV Community Knowledge, Awareness, Accessibility and the Policy Environment: A Compendium Report of Tanzania, Mozambique and Burkina Faso

This report studied accessibility to AIDS care and treatment services in Tanzania, Mozambique and Burkina Faso. The focus of the study was to determine peoples’ knowledge and awareness of ARV treatment, as well as the accessibility and use of ARV in the three countries. It also looked at the impact of use of ARV, analyses policies and make recommendations to bridge identified gaps in provisioning of ARV related services. The study found that peoples’ knowledge was limited and availability of ARV was inadequate.
