“The principal objective of this research was to determine the poverty incidence in different farming systems in Tanzania. The specific objectives were: To describe the patterns of poverty incidence in relation to farming systems, to quantify farming system factors that have an influence on poverty incidence and poverty reduction; to identify alternative policy options and strategies regarding pro poor growth and to highlight specific priority areas for further research attention.”
