background to the Pretoria agreement, and an early overview and analysis of the implications of the MoU,from the perspective of: South Africa’s role as peacemaker in the DRC; support to the military aspects of the peace process by the UN Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and the
tasks, roles and timings for implementation implied by the Pretoria agreement.”
