William Ahadzie

Dr. William Ahadzie is the immediate Chief Executive Officer of the National Identification Authority of Ghana. Prior to this appointment he was the Deputy Head of the Centre for Social Policy Studies and a lecturer in the Department of Sociology both at the University of Ghana. He holds a B. A (Hons) Degree in Sociology with Political Science from the University of Ghana, an M. Sc Degree in Development Planning ( University of Dortmund/KNUST) and a Ph. D from the University of Ghana.

He has consulted extensively as a Governance and Human Resource Development expert and as a Social Policy Analyst over the last three decades for several international organizations, governments in Africa and many local civil society organizations. The list of organizations he has consulted for include, the World Bank, UNDP, USAID, UNICEF, GTZ, ILO, DFID, National Development Planning Commission, Ghana, the Parliaments of Ghana and Zambia, among others.

He has served as a resource person for the leadership of parliament and for a number of select committees of Parliament and has built the capacity of several civil society organizations in Ghana and in a number of countries in Africa. Dr. Ahadzie has several publications in the fields of governance and social development.
