Tapuwa O’bren Nhachi

Development Practioner with over 10 years’ experience in research, program coordination, monitoring and evaluation. Tapuwa’s expertise include natural resource governance, extractive industry and environmental analysis, policy analysis, poverty monitoring as well climate change. Tapuwa holds academic qualification in Development studies, Practical Monitoring and Evaluation. Strategic Management and Occupational Health and Safety Research. He has contributed articles to local and international papers on various concerns. His recent involvement in extractive research include publication work on: Sustainability Reporting Compliance by Public Listed Mining Companies in Zimbabwe: An evaluation against stock exchanges requirements (2016) and The Extractive Industry in Zimbabwe, An Evaluation of Trends in Corporate Social Investments, Taxes Paid, Stakeholder Participation and Linkages to Service Delivery of Local Authorities. Recently Tapuwa has overseen the carrying out an environmental impact assessment on Hwange Coal Mining activities. Currently, Tapuwa is the research coordinator for the Centre for Natural Resources Governance where he promote research capacity building within CNRG and communities.
