Karmen Naidoo
Karmen Naidoo is a doctoral candidate in Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is also a research assistant at the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI). Karmen has an undergraduate and master's degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town as well as a Master of Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Her research interests are development economics and labour economics. She works on topics related to the impacts of trade and technology on the labour market, structural transformation, inequality and poverty.
