Justina Dugbazah

Dr. Justina Dugbazah is a gender and development expert, and works as a project manager in the gender and parliamentary affairs division of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) agency in South Africa.  She has more than 12 years experience working in positions that bridge development policy and practice, through engagement with bilateral and multilateral agencies, donors, academic institutions, civil society groups and faith-based organizations.  Justina has expertise in gender mainstreaming, program management, coordinating grass roots organizations, capacity building and international collaboration on gender and development issues.  She has a vast experience in teaching and capacity building. In addition to the extensive work experience, she alsohas a Ph.D in gender and development from the University of Birmingham, UK.  Justina has worked in academia, the public and private sectors, and also with civil society organizations.  Her special interests and expertise are in rural livelihoods, poverty reduction strategies/micro-credit, migration, human rights, women’s empowerment and sub-sectors under gender and development.
