Brian Adeba

Timothy M. Shaw is Professor and Director in the Institute of International Relations at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad. He held similar positions at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies at the University of London for the first half of the first decade of the 21st century having taught at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia for three decades. Most of Dr. Shaw's professional attention has been around Africa; he has been visiting professor at universities in Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia & Zimbabwe. He was awarded a second degree from the University of East Africa (now the University of Nairobi; Makerere University; University of Dar es Salaam) in the late-1960s and has co-edited two collections on African international relations in the last decade—Africa's Challenge to International Relations Theory and The Diplomacies of Small States, both published by Palgrave.
