Brian Adeba



Susan Thomson, Mellon post-doctoral fellow in contemporary African politics and society at Hampshire College, Amherst, MA, received her BA from Saint’s Mary University (Halifax), her LLB from University College London, and her MA and Ph.D from Dalhousie University (Halifax). Her research and teaching interests are in state-society relations in contemporary Africa and qualitative research methods, with particular focus on research ethics and doing research in difficult environments.   Her publications have appeared in the Canadian Journal of African Studies, the International Journal of Transitional Justice and Peace Review. Current taught courses include "Introduction to African Politics", “Contemporary Controversies in African Studies” and “The Politics of Power and Resistance in Africa”.
