Nirina Rajaonarivo

Nirina Rajaonarivo is working as a Program Officer at the Electoral Institute for the Sustainability of Democracy in Africa (EISA). She is involved in the political parties and legislative support programs. She was previously, for three years, Country Coordinator of the EISA field office in Madagascar, carrying out a program on women’s empowerment in decision-making processes. She has been conducting training for women in political parties and candidates for elections at national and local level in Madagascar, Comoros and Chad. Mrs Rajaonarivo has a background as a journalist and political columnist in print and audiovisual media, and has worked as “press attaché”, responsible of public relations for three Malagasy ministries. She graduated with a Masters degree in Public Law and Political Science as well as having done additional studies in international trade and management. She has written training manuals for gender equality, capacity building for CSOs and collaborators of members of Parliament.
