Erica Dybenko


David Luke is the Senior Trade Advisor and Coordinator of the Trade and Human Development Unit of UNDP in Geneva, Switzerland. His experience encompasses policy management and analysis, trade negotiations, academic teaching and research. He served as the Organization of African Unity (OAU) focal point on World Trade Organization (WTO) issues, where he helped organize and launch the WTO African Group and coordinated the preparation of OAU member states for the WTO Ministerial Conferences from 1996-2001.
 
Before joining UNDP in 2001, David worked with UNECA and the OAU. He also held teaching positions at Dalhousie University, Canada and the Institute of Development Policy and Management at Manchester University, UK. David has co-edited two books and more than a dozen research papers which have appeared in several academic journals including the Journal of World Trade. David holds a Ph.D in African Political Economy from the London School of Oriental and African Studies as well as a M.Sc. Economics and a B.Sc. Honours Social Sciences from the London School of Economics.
