Max Middeke joined the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) in 2012 as a GIZ seconded expert. He currently holds the position of the Research Coordinator with the Africa Peace and Security Programme at IPSS. Before joining IPSS, Max worked for various political institutions in East Africa, the United States and Germany including the UN DPKO, UNDP, ILO, German Federal Foreign Ministry and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs.
Max received his Masters in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin.
