Dr. (Mrs.) Erimma Gloria Orie was born in Oba, Idemili LGA, Anambra State and is married with four children. She holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Philosophy, LL.B (Hons) degree, LL.M degree in Maritime and Commercial Law and a PhD in law.
She was called to the Nigerian Bar 24 years ago and has been in active legal practice. In the last 5 years, she has been involved in serious academic research and scholarships, demonstrating uncommon interest in atmospheric pollution and climate change issues. Her Master’s Degree Thesis was on “Ozone Depletion and the attempts to solve it.” A higher study at the Ph.D level culminated in a dissertation on ‘The Clean Development Mechanism as a tool for Sustainable Development in Nigeria: A case for Regulatory Action.’ She has published several peer-reviewed articles and attended several conferences locally and Internationally as a discussant and resource person.
