“Namibia and human rights” A report on the Dakar Conference and its implications for the South West Africa Issue

This paper explains the issue that was discussed at the Conference in Dakar on Namibia and human rights. However the main focus of the conference was the South African administering or occupation of South West Africa and the issues around the withdrawal of South Africa from the territory. Furthermore the conference addressed the normalization of relations between states in Southern Africa as well as political issues in South Africa. The Annexure included in this report is a declaration of Dakar on Namibia and human rights and a programme of action.
